This is how we understand accessibility.
BMW Automative (Ireland) Ltd designs its website to be accessible in accordance with the provisions of the European Union (Accessibility Requirements of Products and Services) Regulations 2023 (S.I. No. 636/2023), (the “EEA Regulations”).
This accessibility statement applies to the www.bmw.ie website.
The website www.BMW.IE contains information about the e-commerce services provided by BMW Automative (Ireland) Ltd (“BMW Automotive”), and it also includes information about the finance services provided by BMW Financial Services (Ireland) DAC(“BMW Financial Services”). The content provided by both BMW Automative and BMW Financial Services is covered by the EAA Regulations.
In particular, the EAA Regulations oblige service providers, among other things to design e-commerce and finance services, so that they are accessible and usable for people with disabilities, without particular difficulty and, in principle, without external help. These requirements are specified in more detail in the European Union (Accessibility Requirements of Products and Services) Regulations 2023 (S.I. No. 636/2023). In addition to the technical requirements, the EAA regulations oblige service providers to make certain
information accessible in barrier-free form. In the case of e-commerce and finance services for consumers, the information on how the services work must be understandable, without going above a level of complexity superior to level B2 of the Council of Europe’s Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
This accessibility statement applies to e-commerce services and finance services for consumers that are offered both online on the BMW.ie website and at authorized BMW dealers.
Meeting accessibility requirements.
BMW Automotive and BMW Financial Services are committed to making e-commerce services and finance services accessible for consumers and to design them to allow for the use of assistive technologies. As a result, the technical standards of the European Standard EN 301 549 and the criteria of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 are fulfilled in the development of the websites at conformity levels A and AA.
The information on how they work is presented in an understandable way, without going above a level of complexity above level B2 of the Council of Europe’s Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. In addition, the information on how our services work is offered in an auditory version.
As part of our digital channels, the information is presented in a perceivable and understandable way. The information is made available in text formats that are suitable for generating alternative assistive formats, which can be displayed by users in different forms and can be perceived by more than one sensory channel. The information is presented in a font with an appropriate font size, suitable font form and with sufficient contrast and adjustable spacing between letters, lines and paragraphs. An alternative presentation of the content is offered when elements with non-text content are included. The electronic information required to provide the service is provided in a consistent and appropriate manner by making it perceivable, operable, understandable and robust.
Insofar as identification methods, authentication methods, electronic signatures, security functions and payment services are provided, these are perceivable, operable, understandable and robust.
When you visit your selected motor dealer at their premises, you will receive support from their employees.
General Description of the Service and Descriptions and Explanations necessary for Understanding of the Operation of the Service
BMW Automotive offers various e-commerce services and BMW Financial Services offers finance services on its website that enable customers to purchase products and services online
We explain our most important products to you. And it’s very simple.
Ordering Vehicles Online.
Ordering a vehicle online starts on the BMW.ie website. Depending on availability, different options are available for vehicle orders
There are various ways to access these options:
- New Vehicle Search or Used Vehicle Search . Customers can search for new cars currently in stock in our BMW Centres or approved used cars with specific configurations. Once they have selected a vehicle, they can order and reserve their chosen vehicle by paying a nominal fee or request a call back from the BMW Centre, depending on availability. This service for ordering a new BMW is only for customers with a valid BMW ID. New Customers can register to obtain a BMW ID when they order and reserve their vehicle. Customers can order and reserve a used BMW Vehicle without a BMW ID and can choose to proceed without finance or choose to apply for finance to purchase the vehicle.
- Customers may also configure their chosen new BMW using the Build Your Own vehicle configurator. After selecting a basic vehicle, customers can create an individual configuration based on this vehicle. They can purchase or apply for finance for the vehicle or request consultation for the configured vehicle. They can also save their configuration and view a summary of the configuration chosen.
The decision between purchase or financing is made after having selected the vehicle as part of the checkout process. In order to proceed with purchasing or financing the new vehicle, a valid BMW ID is required, which can be obtained by registering your details.
In the case of financing, the checkout process is followed by an online application for the financial service. This online application is provided on the BMW Financial Services website.
BMW Connected Drive.
Customers are provided with digital services for their vehicle at BMW Connected Drive. They can add services for a vehicle they already own and purchase them online. The services offered depend on the customer’s vehicle and may vary. A valid BMW ID is required, and the vehicle must be linked to the BMW ID.
BMW Parts and Accessories.
Customers have the option to purchase Parts and Accessories for their driving experience on the BMW.ie website, by going to More BMW, under Parts & Accessories. They can order Accessory Packs, M Performance Accessories, Wheels & Tyers and accessories for Autumn and Winter through their chosen BMW Centre.

Customers can book a test drive in a vehicle and desired model using our Test Drive Booking Form. They will be asked to enter their personal details, select the desired date and time as well as their chosen BMW Centre. A valid BMW ID is required to book a test drive.
Sell your BMW.
Through Sell Your BMW customers who wish to sell their used BMW can request a trusted valuation for the vehicle by providing their details online and one of our BMW Centers will contact with a provisional valuation.
BMW Financial Services.
Here customers can get information about the different ways to finance the purchase of their BMW. BMW offers consumers BMW Hire Purchase and BMW Select Personal Contract Purchase (PCP).
Under BMW Hire-Purchase, the purchase price of your car, less the deposit the customer wishes to pay, is the balance that the customer needs to finance. Any interest and fees are then added, and the total is repaid monthly over the term the customers choose. Once all payments have been made at the end of the agreement, the customer owns their BMW.
BMW Select PCP is a form of Hire-Purchase, where customers are provided with a number of options at the end of the agreement. A portion of the value of the vehicle is deferred until the end of the agreement. The monthly payments are typically lower with a BMW Select PCP agreement. The customer will have the option to either:
- Pay the optional final payment at the end of the agreement, sometimes referred to a ballon payment.
- Part-exchange the BMW and choose another vehicle.
- Hand the Car Back and as long as you have not exceeded the mileage allowance and it has been well looked after, there will be nothing more to pay.
Managing Your Finance.
Existing BMW customers can manage their finance agreement with BMW Financial Services online with MyBMW Finance
Here customers have several self-service options, such as the ability to generate a settlement figure quote, update their personal details or change their payment date. Customer must register on the MyBMW Finance page to use the service
